Havana – Full Havana Immersion

You begin to notice the little differences gradually. Murals shade the thick walls with the colors of the Cuban flag.
Pictures of Fidel Castro accompany slogans supporting the state and the ideals of socialism. On the edges of the old city, you find Plaza de Revolucion. The square covers five square miles adorned with a 59-foot statue of Jose Marti standing beneath a 358-foot tower. On the opposite end of the plaza stand two silhouettes depicting the Cuban Independence Hero Camilo Cienfuegos and Cuban Revolutionary Hero, Che Guevara. You can easily imagine thousands upon thousands of Cubans filling the square to hear Fidel Castro evoke one of his famous speeches.
