Energetic Neighborhoods
Buenos Aires is known as the birthplace of tango and the “Paris of South America.” Each of the 47 neighborhoods across the city maintains a distinct character that adds to the overall charm of the city. The history of the famous dance pulses through the streets, a constant reminder of the passion Buenos Aires emanates. You arrive at the airport, where your private transfer is waiting to greet you. The Buenos Aires Obelisk is a historical monument crowning the Plaza de la Republica, where two main avenues of the city meet. The obelisk was erected in the 1930s and stands 221 feet tall.
It commemorates the point where the National Flag was first raised over the city, along with the 400th anniversary of the city’s founding. Plaza San Martin is one of the most historic neighborhoods in the city, located at the base of Florida Street. The pedestrian walkways give credence to the European atmosphere of the city, lined with elegant palaces that once belonged to aristocratic families and sensational shops with graceful display windows. Your guide escorts you to the neighborhood of Recoleta, known for its tranquil ambiance, lavish style, and beautiful tree shaded walkways. Consider learning more about your Argentina tour operators, who strive to provide you with the finest and detailed tours specifically catered to your interests.
