From our arrival to our departure, everything was fantastic! When we travel within the States, we do our own research and planning. However, we knew nothing about Japan (our daughter pushed for this trip). We decided to go “old school”, with a travel agent. We found ours through Zicasso.

The travel agents were great to work with and very responsive to emails. The itinerary was great and having guides for most of our excursions made everything so much more enriching. Especially when it came time for lunch. They know the best places!

We were a little worried about being there over the holidays, but we had no issues, with the exception of the crowds around Hakone for the Ekiden relay race.

Our guide created a slightly modified plan for our day trip in Hakone National Park to avoid road closures so we didn’t miss a thing. It was also a little stressful making sure we could make it back to Tokyo for our return flight with road closures and taxi/bus availability, but everything worked out perfectly with Japan’s wonderful train system.

We would definitely work with Zicasso's travel partner again.

We had an absolutely incredible experience and wonderful service from Zicasso's tour operator. Everything was well organized, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The accommodations were all top-notch and we were treated so warmly at each location on our itinerary. The food was incredible and the drivers were all friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful to spend time with. They enhanced our experience so much!

Our Zicasso travel team was amazing to work with! Our agent planned our trip knowing this was to be the trip of a lifetime for us. She put together a truly spectacular itinerary, whereby we started on safari, spent time in wonderful Cape Town, and finished on a very different safari from the first. There were small, personal touches along the way – a birthday cake surprise and African birthday song that made the trip so special and personal. The trip truly was the trip of a lifetime! Our African safari, organized by Zicasso’s tour company and its agent, was a trip of a lifetime. Their partnering with the local travel company was absolutely brilliant. Our guide was of the highest quality that could have been expected. 

The accommodations at the Ngorongoro Crater were amazing. The other accommodations were a bit more rustic, but they seemed perfectly located for our safaris. 

We would not recommend the "walk" to the elephant caves without more disclosure about the difficulty of the trek and the footwear required. We were not thrilled with the visit to the Maasai village. We felt taken advantage of. We would have preferred a visit to a village where our participation was more authentic and where we did not get a high-pressure sales pitch.  

Booking the hot-air balloon ride with the chosen company was an excellent choice. We have come back with so many memories of our time in Tanzania (including our stay in Zanzibar). We would highly recommend our travel company and agent to anyone considering an African safari.
