Cape Town – Sunset Over the Atlantic

To another is the Atlantic, where the sun dips into the ocean. And flowing south is the mountain chain, a spine of peaks rising above waves and beaches. Land in Cape Town and you're greeted at the airport by your guide for the short transfer to your five-star hotel at the V & A Waterfront. Rest, relax, and then savor the local knowledge as your guide brings you to a quiet spot between Signal Hill and Lion's Head. The mystical sunset scene is just an introduction to the region's allure. Detailed Description
Cape Town and the Garden Route offer a jigsaw puzzle of Africa's dreamy appeal. So many destinations fit together, creating a collage of many of the continent's most revered sights and experiences. Experience culture and history in Cape Town, whales migrating along the coast, unique forests from a mystical world, huge elephant herds crossing the savannah and luxury big game safari. This region enables the first-time Africa visitor to piece together so many famous images and explore many of the continent's angles. Cape Town and the Garden Route is also Africa's most developed region in terms of tourist infrastructure, making an easy introduction for those who are on the fence about visiting this evocative continent. Facilities and services are very much Western in style, but this region remains wonderfully African at heart.
On this luxury South Africa tour, you spend four nights in Cape Town, before being privately guided along the Garden Route, stopping at five contrasting destinations over nine nights. Cape Town is situated on South Africa's southwestern tip, while the Garden Route is the coastal strip along the south of the continent, typically encompassing Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. You journey one way by road, stopping off at the eclectic destinations on route. Then fly from Port Elizabeth back to Cape Town for your international departure flight. You travel in a luxury saloon and the road is a big part of the experience, expressive panoramas always accompanying the journey. In total, there are around ten hours of actual driving time on this South Africa tour, split over nine days from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth.
The Mother City dances with experiences, from sunset dining with views of the Atlantic Ocean to standing on the top of Table Mountain. A helicopter ride reveals the splendor of the coast while an afternoon in the Constantia vineyards provides new vistas. History comes alive on Robben Island and the colorful city streets expel both a vibrancy and tranquility. Next, you head to Hermanus, one of the world's great whale watching destinations. On some days, it's possible to see the migratory giants from your balcony; a boat trip takes you closer to the coastline of Walker Bay, where the whales raise their calves.
Wilderness is very much like its name, a stretch of empty beach and a flourishing canopy of forest. Two nights here allow you to fully escape from the world and connect with nature's charms. You're in the Garden Route National Park, another serene expression of South Africa's wondrous landscapes. With a private cottage overlooking the Indian Ocean, these two days can be as active or relaxed as you like. South Africa is also safari country and the Garden Route offers a string of private game reserves. Kariega is the most luxurious of these, providing two days of big game encounters and immersion in the wild bush. To complete the Garden Route, you traverse Addo Elephant National Park, admiring huge pachyderm herds before arriving in Port Elizabeth for the final night.

Our trip was amazing and Zicasso's travel company and our agent could not have been more helpful in planning the trip and making sure it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She listened to our desires and planned a trip that met all our requirements. She was very patient in making little modifications until we were completely satisfied.
When we encountered some delays during the trip, she was very responsive in helping notify people on the ground and rescheduling our activities so we didn't miss a thing.
She was very knowledgeable about Southern Africa and selected exceptional lodging facilities for us. The accommodations were not only beautiful, but the staff were extremely professional, friendly, and attentive.
I would highly recommend this travel company if planning an African adventure!

This was a trip of a lifetime. We are not sure we will ever be able to top it! I have never cried leaving a place before because I was so sad it was over, but I did... three times! From the incredible food and views in Cape Town to the unforgettable adventure at the buffalo camp to the amazing views of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, we cannot say enough good things about our experience.
We've used Zicasso several times and have always had a great experience. That's why we keep coming back! But our experience with this travel agency was above and beyond all our expectations. The way our travel agent crafted our trip to meet our desires; stayed in constant contact via text, phone and email; provided us a departure call to walk us through every step of the trip before we left; and stayed connected throughout our trip to ensure we were having a good time and help us tweak some things along the way was customer service like we have never received. We would work with this agency and our agent again in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends and family.

First, the booking experience with Zicasso's trip coordinator was seamless. She was always very attentive, responsive, and prompt with her replies. She listened to our wants and delivered beyond our expectations. Even our guides commented that she chose well for us. I would highly recommend booking with her.
Our itinerary in South Africa was pure perfection. Everything from the accommodations to the timing was perfect. We cannot say enough great things about the safari in Sabi Sands and the lodge. The lodge in Franschhoek was exceptional and the one in Gansbaai was the ideal ending to our trip.
This was truly a trip of a lifetime for our family. I’m not sure how we will ever top this experience. Thank you to Zicasso for connecting us with our agent.
