Adventurous Family Discoveries of Portugal Tour

When you land in Lisbon, a private driver will greet and transfer you to your accommodation in the heart of the city. Once you have had some time to relax and settle in after your long flight, your guide will lead you on a brief walking tour to some of the city’s highlights. Some of the famous landmarks that you will see include the Jeronimos Monastery and the Belem Tower. As part of your tour, you will have the chance to ride the iconic yellow trams for which Lisbon is known. Although dinner is not included, your guide can provide you with a handful of excellent dining recommendations depending on your moods and interests.

Today, you will have an early morning so that you can transfer to Arrabida Nature Reserve. Here, you can spend the day snorkeling, swimming, hiking, or basking in the serene atmosphere. Upon your arrival, you will settle in to your accommodation before going on a hike through the Arrabida mountains with your guide. This hike hill will provide you with incredible views of the surrounding landscape in addition to introducing you to vibrant flora and fauna. Afterward, you will head to the sea, where you will have the rest of the day to indulge in a variety of watersports. Lastly, you will return to your accommodation in Lisbon for the night.

This morning, you will depart the wondrous world of Arriaba Natural Reserve for Sintra. Upon arriving at your accommodation, you will have the chance to relax for a bit before your guide leads you on a tour of Sintra’s highlights. Your guide will lead you to  Pena Palace, Castelo dos Mouros, and more. After your tour, a horse-drawn carriage will carry you to Sintra village. Here, your guide will lead you on a brief tour before allowing you some time for a bit of self-exploration.

After breakfast this morning, you will have a private surf session with a local pro. Whether this is your first time or you are an experienced surfer, your guide will be able to give you tips based on your skill level. You will surf in Cascais, which is an area that is known for its incredible surf. In the afternoon, you will visit a family-owned apple orchard, where you will get to participate in the process of picking and harvesting apples. You will also be able to try making some of the artisan products that the family sells at the local markets, such as apple jams, sauces, ciders, and more.

After breakfast, you will embark on a rock climbing session with a private guide. You will venture to the sea cliffs, which will provide you with incredible views as you ascend the mountain. Even if you have never rock climbed before, this excursion will be catered to your skill sets and comfort level. In the afternoon, you will go on an off-roading ATV tour. This tour will take you to some of the off-the-beaten-treasures of Sintra that many cannot access otherwise.

After breakfast this morning, you will transfer to Lagos. Upon your arrival, you will settle in to your new accommodation and have some time to relax. When you are ready, you will sail to the Benagil Caves. Along the way, you will witness majestic sea cliffs and natural cave systems. You will have a few hours to spend in the respite of the caves. Afterward, you will return to Lagos and have the remainder of the day to spend at your leisure.

If you are one that is inclined to adventure, then this morning, you will partake in a tandem skydive with a very experienced instructor. If this is something that is not for you, then your guide can help you adjust your itinerary to include a relaxing beach day or insightful tours of local museums. You will then spend the afternoon mountain biking at Mount Foia amid some of the most spectacular scenery that the entire Algarve region has to offer. After your day of excitement, you will return to your accommodation for the evening.

After breakfast and some time to stroll through the town at your leisure, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure.
